The College of Medicine Office of Research (OR) is seeking an entry level Project Manager to lead and coordinate a variety of exciting research and technology initiatives. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or related field
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in research, technology, or academicenvironments
  • Experience with technology implementation projects and vendor management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience coordinating technical deployment projects and stakeholder management
Responsibilities

Strategic Project Management and Execution

  • Lead project planning, scope definition, and timeline development for multi-phase research infrastructureinitiatives
  • Coordinate project deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation across complex technologyimplementation projects
  • Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes for discrete initiatives
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery
  • Facilitate project closure activities and post-project evaluation processes

Technology Initiative Coordination and Implementation

  • Manage complex technology deployment projects from planning through implementation phases
  • Coordinate multi-stakeholder technology initiatives with defined deliverables and timelines
  • Lead cross-functional teams through project phases from concept to deployment
  • Manage vendor relationships and technical implementation processes for strategic initiatives
  • Support post-implementation evaluation and optimization processes for technology projects

Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as primary liaison between project teams, institutional partners, and external collaborators
  • Facilitate project steering committee meetings and stakeholder communication for complex initiatives
  • Coordinate with institutional compliance offices, legal teams, and administrative units for project-specificrequirements
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships for project-specific deliverables
  • Lead project communication strategies and status reporting to senior leadership

Project Documentation and Process Development

  • Develop project management templates, workflows, and documentation standards for new initiatives
  • Create project assessment frameworks and success metrics for complex research support projects
  • Support knowledge transfer activities between completed and new project phases
