Description Job Summary: Project Manager II reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Project Manager II manages and oversees all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Project Manager II prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Project Manager II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Successful candidate should be self-motivated and take initiative and personal accountability. Responsibilities: Follows a defined project management methodology, accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet objectives. Monitors and prepares reports to ensure work is progressing to meet the deliverables on time and budget. Understands technical drawings, schematics, project scopes and computer-generated reports. Manages multiple medium to large projects simultaneously. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Ensures that in-flight reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all projects. Minimizes PMOs exposure and risk on projects. Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to manager as appropriate. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Manages project budget. Develops and manages Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership. Provides leadership to lower-level Project Managers. Acts as liaison between sales, quality assurance, engineering, purchasing, logistics and production departments. Oversees Commercial and/or Government projects. Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents. Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities. Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product. Up to 15% travel as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Possess thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools. Possess strong and tested project management skills, including risk management. Possess knowledge of standard Government design review processes and testing. Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a complex and matrixes team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedules, and meet deadlines. Skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. A passionate desire to grow, learn and advance. Ability to interpret a Statement of Work. Requirements: Participate in a familiarization period from one to three months in each of the following departments to garner specific procedural and processing knowledge: Production (Fabrication, Paint, Insulation, JIG, Finishing), Machine Shop, Engineering, Purchasing, and Estimating. Light Travel as required. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate desired. Experience: Project Management: 4 – 10 years’ experience in similar position. Related Industry Experience: 4 – 7 years’ experience in similar position. Salary range: $85K - $115K
