Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects—from concept and client interaction through design, logistics, and on-site execution. This individual acts as the primary client liaison and internal point of contact, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget while maintaining the high standards of creativity and professionalism for which ImageSFX is known. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and combines strong technical understanding with excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience managing touring productions, large-scale live events, or complex special effects integrations is essential. Key Responsibilities Client & Project Management Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining clear communication throughout all project phases. Define project scope, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with the client and internal teams. Develop and manage project budgets ranging from $5,000 to $100,000+, including estimates, purchase orders, and payment processing. Ensure all contract, billing, and change order processes occur accurately and on time. Translate creative concepts and technical requirements into actionable production plans. Lead post-project debriefs and reporting, including lessons learned and financial reconciliation. Pre-Production & Logistics Coordinate internal teams (design, technical, logistics) to meet production milestones. Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and crew requests to support project execution. Manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including production schedules, budgets, site plans, safety documentation, and show rundowns. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for pyrotechnics and special effects operations. On-Site Execution Act as the on-site team lead during installation, rehearsals, and show execution. Supervise all technical and logistical aspects to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction. Troubleshoot and resolve challenges in real time, maintaining safety and performance integrity. Represent ImageSFX with professionalism and authority in high-pressure environments. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre, Event Production, Project Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in touring production, pyrotechnics, or live event management will be considered in lieu of degree. Experience Minimum 3-5 years of project or production management experience in the live events, entertainment, or special effects industries. Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets up to $100K+. Strong understanding of production logistics, AV systems, and special effects technologies. Experience with concert tours, festivals, residencies, or broadcast-scale events strongly preferred. Formal project management training a plus. Skills & Attributes Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities; comfortable managing diverse teams under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Adept at creative problem-solving and critical thinking in dynamic environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com, Odoo, preferred. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project demands require. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during event periods.
