ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Inclusion Team Manager, you will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that leads policies and programs that support our commitments to reconciliation, customer support, family violence, and accessible and inclusive services. As the Project Manager – Inclusion, you will contribute to the review and development of policies, strategies, business guidelines and resources to promote accessible and inclusive services. You will manage discrete projects end-to-end across the inclusion portfolio, provide evidence-based insights and recommendations, maintain the Division’s knowledge hub, and stay informed of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and providing guidance when necessary.
You’ll work alongside a dedicated team and build and maintain relationships with stakeholders that support delivery of our 2030 Strategy equity and inclusion commitments. If you’re passionate about inclusion and you’re a can-do project manager, then this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
About us
We’re on a mission to create a brighter future, where you can be a change maker at the actual source. We’re one of Australia’s largest water utilities with over 30% of Victoria’s population relying on us for their essential water and sanitation services.
Our award-winning culture fosters an inclusive, collaborative, and flexible environment that enables our people to thrive. Here, you’ll be inspired and challenged to grow alongside us.
We’re committed to reconciliation and supporting the self-determined role for Traditional Owners/Custodians in water and land management.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with colleagues to assist in the development and governance of policy, strategy, and business guidelines to support achievement of accessible and inclusive services and our commitment to equity and inclusion. This will include the collation and interpretation of data to provide evidence-based insights.
  • Assisting the Inclusion Lead to implement the Gender Equality Act 2020 at Yarra Valley Water, with a focus on Equity Impact Assessments
  • Managing discrete projects to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery in accordance with the Community Inclusion Divisional Plan.
  • Developing and maintaining a knowledge hub for team purposes including sharing data and resources with the organisation.
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy, program development, and better practice.
  • Acting as a champion to drive inclusion and reconciliation outcomes across the business.
    What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated commitment, understanding, and awareness of matters relating to inclusion, reconciliation, and equity, including legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to collate data, analyse, and provide insights and recommendations for policy and program development and delivery.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder management experience and ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including people who experience barriers to participation.
