PROJECT MANAGER

Job Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering design projects. While an engineering degree is not required, experience managing engineering design projects is essential. This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, project engineers, constructors, fabricators, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining a professional representation of the company.

EDUCATION AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor of Science in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in engineering design projects.
· Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
· Experience in utilizing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) systems.
· Ability to represent the company professionally in all client interactions.
· Experience in participating in client proposals and developing man-hour estimates.
· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, or similar).
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines, customers, and stakeholders. IE Group is a hybrid workforce and collaborative use of communication tools is necessary.
· Successful drug screening.
· Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by 22 CFR § 120.15 (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

· Not anticipated, but as needed.

Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
· Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and other professionals to deliver projects successfully.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and addressing any concerns. Represent the company professionally at all times, fostering strong relationships and trust.
· Maintain open lines of communication between clients and the engineering team, ensuring that design requirements are clearly understood and addressed promptly.
· Contribute to client request for proposal (RFP) responses, including the development of man-hour estimates and project timelines.
· Provide weekly updates on key project metrics such as profitability, spend plans, and resource utilization. Produce detailed monthly project progress reports for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
· Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
· Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
· Utilize Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) system to organize project tasks and phases. Utilize this system to leverage historical data for assembling accurate man-hour estimates in future projects.
· Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and adhere to industry regulations and company standards.
· Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, meeting notes, and progress reports.
· Address project challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.
· Promote a professional code of conduct and ethical behavior.
