JOB DESCRIPTION:

A great opportunity to join the GCAP Integrated Enablers Team to work upon Infrastructure Projects.
This is a dynamic role with different and evolving requirements, to join a team looking at both strategic infrastructure requirements and delivering on facilities and infrastructure projects.
You will be helping to firm up requirements and develop these into design and delivery of projects.
For physical infrastructure projects you will be following the RIBA Plan of Work, managing consultants and contractors to deliver infrastructure projects safely, on time and to budget.

  • With good interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise and lead where required with senior management, stakeholders and piers. The role will involve taking the initiative and driving requirements through to delivery; the candidate will have the ability to work well within and alongside other teams and inspire transition through project lifecycle.
  • Is an agile thinker who is able to evaluate key requirements and identify opportunities, understand how to process and develop these into scopes of work
  • The Project Manager will be required to work efficiently on their own and equally as part of a wider team.
  • Experience within project management.
  • Some experience within facilities or construction project management.
  • Will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and is proficient with Microsoft office applications. The role will involve being able to listen to and interpret requirements and develop these as and where required.
  • Must have a full valid UK (or equivalent to entitle the candidate to drive within the UK) driver’s license.
  • Be willing to travel within the UK to other sites or locations if or when required

You really must have:

  • Is a UK National or has British Citizenship.
  • Must have MOD SC Clearance, and ideally would be willing to undertake DV clearance
  • At least 3 years’ experience within project management.
  • Some experience within facilities or construction project management.
  • Will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and is proficient with Microsoft office applications. The role will involve being able to listen to and interpret requirements and develop these as and where required.
  • Must have a full valid UK (or equivalent to entitle the candidate to drive within the UK) driver’s license.

It would be nice if you had:

  • A good working knowledge of building facilities, particularly Hard Services, CDM and its processes and implementation within the facilities and construction environments, also strong working knowledge of RIBA stages and process steps within RIBA guidelines is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • To work in an existing team within the FCA GCAP Programme.
  • The GCAP Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and where required managing multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, refurbishment and installation processes for a full project lifecycle within existing facilities.
  • Luton based / Hybrid role.
  • Working with internal Stakeholders and external consultants and authorities, the role will require the Project Manager to support and lead as required.
  • Identify project requirements and deficiencies
  • Provide regular updates and reports to key client representatives
  • Manage project performance and sub-contractors.
  • Manage Risk
  • Create internal & external reporting packs
  • Coordinates review of design documents and cost estimates
  • Ensuring adherence to project processes, procedures, construction legislation and safety guidelines.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for works, change orders, and invoicing
