Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing This is a national role, and we'll consider various locations including Christchurch, Twizel, Dunedin, the Queenstown Lakes Area, Wellington, and we're happy to offer relocation support! The role is critical to delivering projects and project work packages across our Generation business. A key focus of the role is working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating requirements between the project, engineering and site teams, procurement, commercial, contractors, suppliers, internal strategic, asset custodians, and operators. We’re looking for candidates with a strong background in end-to-end project execution. This includes: Managing high value, complex projects and/or programmes of smaller assets or facilities projects and ensuring that planning, estimating, scheduling, resourcing and management of projects and work packages is undertaken and delivered to the agreed scope, quality, timeline and budget constraints. Building constructive relationships with internal parties, such as Engineering and Maintenance teams, and external vendors and local Iwi, to ensure all project streams work together collaboratively to deliver the required outcomes in terms of quality, scope, time, and budget; Undertaking contract tender and award which are compliant with the team and Meridian commercial requirements. Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tenei tūranga | What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone with formal Project Management qualifications as well as a comprehensive understanding of project management practices, and proven success in complex multi-disciplined projects involving civil, mechanical and/or electrical engineering construction works. Other key skills include: Ideally, a technical and/ or engineering background, but not essential. Experience managing large, complex projects. Previous experience in effective management of health and safety risks. Experience with project management IT applications including Microsoft Office, in particular MSP, Excel, Word.
