Job Summary Based in Sydney or Melbourne, the Project Manager is responsible for providing project planning, management and oversight for implementation projects. The Project Manager will ensure the optimum mix of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout the life cycle (design, development, testing and evaluation, production) of each program and will analyze alternative problem solutions and present a case for the recommended solutions with a detailed analysis of risks and return on investment. The Project Manager must have experience in Health Information System Implementation Projects. Responsibilities Manage project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability Manage the Project and the processes therein – including the definition and on-going monitoring of the Project Implementation Document (PID) Define the project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Produce the Project Implementation Plan Produce and Manage the Project Plan Produce and Manage the Quality Plan Produce and Manage the Communications Plan Define the resource plan Represent the needs of the Implementation Team during the pre-sales stage Carry out resource planning and management Carry out the management and escalation of risks and issues Manage the project budget Ensure that the project team members are aware of and remain compliant with all the relevant procedures and policies Proactively manage changes in project scope throughout the project Ensure appropriate communication between the members of the project team and report on project progress and other project specific information to stakeholders Lead the ‘handover to support’ activities after go-live Lead the ‘lessons learned’ activities for whole project life cycle Produce the Project Closure Report Experience and Qualifications Project Management experience delivering multi-stranded integrated Healthcare solutions in a customer facing role (5-10 years) Experience of full project lifecycle through initiation, execution, go-live and closure Direct healthcare knowledge or 5+ yrs experience with an HIS system highly preferred Experience managing resources, time tracking, budgets and forecasting Experience leading a diverse / multi-disciplined team Experience communicating across all levels of an organization An understanding of hospital procedures, standard working practices, structure and politics Previous experience as an end user of an integrated health system Clinical experience or background – ideally as a user of TrakCare or other Hospital Information System (HIS) applications Experience with integrated implementations Broad understanding of IT technical implementation-delivery Education and Training University degree or 10+ yrs experience managing large, complex projects preferably in healthcare IT Technical knowledge in software and implementation processes Project Management qualification such as Prince2 , PMP or PMI Microsoft Project About InterSystems InterSystems, a creative data technology provider, delivers a unified foundation for next-generation applications for healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain customers in more than 80 countries.
