Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, on time, and within budget. This role requires a balance of leadership and technical knowledge to oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring all objectives are met, and stakeholders are satisfied. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a deep understanding of project management methodologies. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans that align with business objectives. Allocate resources, set timelines, and manage budgets to meet project objectives. Identify and document project requirements, constraints, and dependencies. Execution and Management: Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary. Manage relationships with stakeholders, third parties, and vendors. Track project performance and provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Monitor and manage potential project risks and conflicts. Resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal impact on project timelines and deliverables. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Facilitate communication between stakeholders, team members, and management. Lead project meetings, ensuring alignment of objectives and collaboration among team members. Communicate project milestones, timelines, and any changes effectively to all parties. Budget and Resource Management: Manage and track project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and kept within approved limits. Forecast resource needs and ensure resources are utilized effectively and efficiently. Provide financial reports and status updates to senior leadership. Project Closure: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Close out all financial, administrative, and contractual aspects of the project. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 5 or more years of experience in project management or a similar role. Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello). Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.). Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with budget management and resource allocation. Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile). Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in M&E or Data Centre industry. Ability to manage and work in cross-functional teams. Key Competencies: Leadership and decision-making abilities. Risk management and problem-solving.
