Job Description Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, to closure Own end-to-end project planning, including scope definition, timelines, milestones, and deliverables Handle end-to-end resourcing: resource planning, allocation, utilization tracking, and coordination across teams Manage end-to-end budgeting: cost estimation, budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting Act as the primary point of contact between Japanese clients and internal teams Communicate, translate, and interpret business and technical requirements (Japanese ↔ English) Create and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, and documentation Track project progress, dependencies, risks, and issues; ensure timely and high-quality delivery Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and operations Conduct client meetings, reviews, and progress updates in Japanese Ensure adherence to quality standards, scope, timelines, and budget commitments Proactively resolve issues and escalate risks to stakeholders when required Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) based on project needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field Japanese language proficiency: JLPT N2 or N3 (mandatory) 8–10 years of experience in IT / Software Project Management Proven experience managing end-to-end software development projects Hands-on experience in end-to-end project planning, resourcing, and budgeting Experience working with Japanese clients or Japan-facing projects Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills Strong risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint Additional Information Beware of scams Our recruiting team may communicate with candidates via our @hitachisolutions.com domain email address and/or via our SmartRecruiters (Applicant Tracking System) [email protected] domain email address regarding your application and interview requests.
