THE OPPORTUNITY:

KBR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Land Systems Division, working within the Heavy Armoured Systems Program Office (HASPO) to support the Armoured Fighter Vehicle (AFV) Branch. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to some of Australia’s most strategically important land programs, including the Abrams Main Battle Tank (LAND 907 Phase 2) and Armoured Recovery Vehicle (LAND 8160 Phase 1) projects.
In this role, you will lead and deliver complex acquisition and sustainment activities across heavy armoured vehicle fleets, working closely with Defence, international stakeholders, and industry partners to ensure capability outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to required standards.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning, execution, and reporting for AFV acquisition and sustainment activities within CASG frameworks.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, risk registers, and performance baselines to achieve agreed milestones.
  • Provide project management and commercial expertise in the development of acquisition strategies, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance management of industry partners.
  • Coordinate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes, including stakeholder engagement with the US Department of Defense, OEMs, and compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Integrate project management activities with engineering, ILS, and sustainment functions to deliver coherent capability outcomes.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefs, and documentation to senior Defence stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support KBR proposals when required.
