What about the role? The Project Manager (GBS) role is a key member of the GBS Transition & Process Excellence, which provides a strong project and programme capability to the organisation. The Project Manager will play an active role in developing and maturing the function in accordance with best practice, but also support project delivery activity across the CoE and the Group Finance Change function. Responsibilities: Manage designated projects in finance and procurement, particularly Together with the project team ensuring delivery of project objectives Proactively engaging stakeholders through clear communication, managing their understanding and involvement, Delivering results through others Manage project risks and mitigation actions Actively demonstrating focus on business requirements and understanding of the end-to-end process Ensuring project documentation is robust and in place Project delivery standardisation and best practice, working with Head of Transition & Process Excellence to further develop the function Developing and owning tools, templates, and systems to support successful project delivery Ensure application of standard project methodologies and agility Support project and programme governance Assure project and programme quality Provide clear, concise, and insightful reporting across the portfolio Develop positive relationships with PMs and other stakeholders Travel to our Operating Companies in the UK, France, Poland will be required from time to time What you'll bring Qualifications: Strong project and PMO experience and capability (5+ years) Demonstrable experience of working in a complex matrix management environment where roles and responsibilities are changing both as a direct result of own programme but also other change programmes Experienced at working to and meeting challenging deadlines through own effort and through the buy in of the delivery teams Has experience at creatively identifying and addressing blockers to delivery through listening to all parties’ perspectives and agreeing practical solutions Has experience in CI projects and Six Sigma methodology (green belt certification is nice to have) Experience in procurement or in finance Excellent interpersonal and people management skills Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management Comfortable working in a distributed, remote-first environment Ability to identify trends in data and produce high-quality, insightful reporting to drive decision making Effective communicator at all levels Strong attention to detail Can work flexibly and cope calmly with changing priorities Self-motivated and self-sufficient To get to know us better visit: Careers website LinkedIn Kingfisher plc
