POSITION SUMMARY DEFINITION  The HR & Benefits Project Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Workforce initiatives across a multi-facility healthcare organization supporting approximately 5,500 employees. This role works closely with HR leadership, Benefits, Payroll, and operational teams to assist with organizational projects, process improvements, compliance initiatives, employee support functions, and workforce-related activities. The position serves as a key support resource for HR and Benefits leadership team while helping ensure projects and day-to-day initiatives are completed efficiently and professionally. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional seeking to grow within Healthcare Human Resources, Benefits, and project coordination CLASS CHARACTERISTICS Key Responsibilities:  HR & Benefits Project Support  Support HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Workforce Management projects from planning through implementation. Assist with coordination of cross-functional initiatives involving HR, Payroll, Benefits, Operations, and external vendors.  Help maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, workflows, and communication updates.  Monitor project progress and escalate concerns or delays as appropriate.  Provide administrative and operational support for HR-related initiatives and projects.  Benefits & Workforce Support  Assist with benefits administration projects including open enrollment, employee communications, vendor’s coordination, and workforce initiatives.  Support leave management processes, employee wellness initiatives, and HR operational activities. Help coordinate onboarding activities, organizational changes, and employee support efforts.  Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation.  HR Operations & Compliance  Support HR compliance efforts related to benefits administration, workforce documentation, and HR operational processes.  Assist with audits, reporting, and tracking of HR-related activities.  Help standardize workflows, forms, and operational practices across facilities.  Support maintenance of employee and project-related data with confidentiality and accuracy.    Systems & Process Improvement  Assist with HRIS, payroll, and workforce management system projects and updates.  Help identify opportunities for workflow improvement and operational efficiency.  Support development of SOPs, project documentation, and training materials.  Maintain project trackers and reporting dashboards as assigned.  Leadership & Collaboration  Work collaboratively with HR and Benefits leadership, Payroll, and operational teams.  Participate in meetings, project workgroups, and team initiatives. Build positive working relationships across departments and facilities.  Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong customer service.    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred, but not required.  Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Project Coordination, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.  Healthcare experience preferred.  Experience working with HRIS/payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now is a plus. Understanding of HR operations, employee benefits, and workforce processes. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  Strong organizational and multitasking skills.  Employee Relations process skills  Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  Strong attention to detail and follow-through.  Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed.
