We are seeking a proactive Project Manager with expertise in industrial and manufacturing projects. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality products that meet performance and schedule expectations.
The Project Manager will lead, manage, coordinate, and report on multiple projects and assemble and guide cross functional project teams with a strong focus on manufacturing execution, outsourced production strategies, and industrial process integration.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in manufacturing and finance, can adapt quickly to evolving business needs, thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment, and is motivated to contribute to the strategic direction of future Kraken operations and products.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing or strong technical background.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Project Management Certification would be considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing environments, including production planning, quality assurance, and supplier coordination.
  • Proven background in project management, supply chain, contract management, ERP reporting, and operations.
  • Technical expertise in a relevant discipline, with knowledge of Kraken products and services.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to foster constructive and effective interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to see both the “big picture” and the details.
  • Strong analytical, research, and critical review skills.
  • Ability to work independently while excelling in collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated results leading activities in support of project management, supply chain management, contract management, ERP system reporting, operations experience.
  • Experience in the Naval / Defence industry would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project business plans and coordinate each project through a stage gate process.
  • Develop and administer detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and supplier timelines.
  • Track and manage project budgets, including cost control and forecasting.
  • Generate cost control and reporting templates for each project, continually monitoring the project’s performance throughout its duration and report status of ongoing projects to senior managers and customer stakeholders.
  • Conduct and maintain project risk assessments, including supplier and manufacturing risks, and manage the risk register.
  • Interface with interdepartmental stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, HSE, etc.) and external manufacturing partners to successfully execute project requirements.
  • Maintain a “safety first” culture ensuring all activities are executed in a safe and effective manner in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Provide detailed budget analysis and forecast reports associated with key customer accounts.
  • Support business development by developing opportunities to capture strategies and identifying new project opportunities.
  • Ensure Client invoices are generated and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure lessons learned on projects are captured and appropriate actions taken.
  • Light travel to supplier sites may be required to support project execution and supplier coordination.
