Description
Some companies talk about legacy. This one has built it — brick by brick, roof by roof, across the Southeast for over half a century. This is a family-run operation that has grown from a single market into a multi-state roofing and building envelope contractor with offices across Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and the Florida Panhandle, and a reputation that's earned, not marketed. The team doesn't just install roofs — they show up for hospitals, municipalities, casinos, schools, and everything in between, including when the storms hit and everyone else goes home. If you want to manage projects for an organization that's been trusted by the region's top general contractors for generations, this is your opening. What You'll Own Lead commercial and industrial roofing projects from pre-construction through closeout, maintaining schedule, budget, and quality standards at every phase Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and field superintendents — keeping communication clear, expectations aligned, and relationships strong Coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors across multiple concurrent projects, anticipating conflicts before they become problems Drive jobsite safety compliance and enforce company standards in the field Review and manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications Track project financials in real time — identifying cost variance, protecting margin, and escalating when necessary Partner with estimating and operations leadership during project handoff to ensure a smooth, accurate transition from award to execution Represent the organization with the professionalism and craftsmanship that has earned the trust of the region's leading construction teams 3–7+ years of project management experience in commercial roofing, specialty subcontracting, or building envelope work Hands-on familiarity with low-slope roofing systems (TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen) and the ability to speak credibly with field crews and GC superintendents alike Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping details or delegating accountability Strong command of project financials — job costing, change order management, and owner billing cycles Experience working as a subcontractor in a GC-driven environment, with the communication skills to maintain those relationships under pressure Proficiency with project management software and standard construction documentation practices A self-directed work style — someone who runs toward problems, not away from them Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across the regional project footprint as needed Vehicle allowance or company vehicle Benefits package including health insurance, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off and holidays Stable, long-term employment with a financially sound, family-owned company that promotes from within
Responsibilities
The role involves leading commercial and industrial roofing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards at every stage. This includes serving as the main liaison for stakeholders, coordinating resources across concurrent projects, and rigorously managing all project documentation and financials.
