JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Project Manager to join our team at Leading Manufacturing Group (LMG). In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process, from estimating costs, reviewing customer requirements, approving design drawings, and assisting with production issues in the shop or field. An excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager with a passion for manufacturing and a desire to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical or Trade-school diploma.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably related to steel fabrication or welding.
  • Familiarity with API-650 standards and welding would be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding, cutting, forming, and assembly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel.
  • Experience with or familiar with AutoCAD or other CAD software would be ideal.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
  • Provide technical support to shop and field staff, including quality control, welders, fitters, coaters, and other trades.
  • On-site project coordination with site supervision and client representatives.
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Help troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with customers, drafting supervisor, general managers, shop managers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies in storage tank manufacturing.
