The Legal Project Manager plays a critical role in enabling H&R Block’s franchise business by driving the execution of high-impact legal initiatives. This position partners closely with Franchise Legal, Franchise Operations, and cross-functional business teams to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex legal workstreams. By combining strong project management discipline with an understanding of legal and operational needs, the Legal Project Manager helps ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment across the franchise system. Day to day, you'll... Lead preparation of the Year-End Franchise Report, including data collection, analysis, and presentation Serve as the primary contact for annual updates to the Franchise Disclosure Document Coordinate annual updates to the Annual Franchise Addenda and Annual Operating Agreements in partnership with Franchise Operations Manage creation of and communication regarding PORT tickets to request WebCDB data updates following contract changes Facilitate communication cadence between Franchise Legal and business partners (including Franchise and A&D Teams), to ensure clarity and alignment Identify and implement process efficiencies for Franchise Legal workflows, including the breach, termination, and transfer processes Review and update contract processes, LOI forms, and verification of terms to ensure compliance and accuracy Serve as the primary contact for internal audits, collaborating with Sallie and other stakeholders to review findings and implement corrective actions Own overall responsibility for the success of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business needs Define project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards Identify risks, assumptions, and constraints impacting project delivery Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders What you'll bring to the team... Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience Work Experience: 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within a legal or franchise environment Strong knowledge of contract management and compliance processes Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and project management tools Ability to guide cross-functional teams and drive accountability Skilled in identifying process improvements and risk mitigation strategies Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with legal, audit, and franchise teams Experience ensuring accuracy in contract terms and compliance processes Comfortable managing diverse projects and shifting priorities It would be even better if you also had... Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
