Description
Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Project Manager to support Leidos’ Accredited Testing & Evaluation (AT&E) Laboratory. AT&E labs test, evaluate and in certain cases, certify commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, third-party, and self-developed Electronic Health Record (EHR) products against various government security and healthcare standards. The candidate will manage an estimated 30-40 projects in parallel, working closely with customers/vendors and lab directors to ensure the success of certification efforts. The environment is fast-paced and will require the Project Manager to adjust to new processes and tools efficiently.
This position will be based in Columbia, MD.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or equivalent and 4+ years of Project management experience managing multiple projects in simultaneously
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or similar Project Management tools
  • Experience estimating effort and cost associated with Technical Projects
  • Experience with financial management tools
  • Microsoft Excel (expert level)

Responsibilities
  • Lead a portfolio of 30-40 projects
  • Manage program costs and expenses to ensure that projects stay within budget
  • Secure new business by developing basis of estimates, quotes, contract proposals/statements of work for customers
  • Lead small teams of engineers responsible for testing and evaluating COTS products seeking certification in Common Criteria (CC) and Federal Information Processing (FIPS) standards
  • Review projects for risks, scope creep, and external dependencies for project stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional Leidos teams, commercial customers and government teams to ensure success of projects
