KNOWLEDGE

  • It is desirable to have 5 years of prior experience of the renewable energy & construction industry, ideally from either an EPC, NSP or similar company to Lightsource bp
  • Knowledge and understanding of the constraints affecting the Renewable Energy industry in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Project Management experience in Renewable Energy plants connected to both MV and HV networks.
  • Knowledge of fundamental project management systems and procedures in the construction industry
  • Full driving license.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Construction related formal qualifications in project management

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in the Renewable Energy sector & project management is essential.
  • Experience of managing construction of large-scale Renewable Energy projects bigger than 50MW.
  • Experience working on renewable energy projects built under various execution strategies such as EPC, D&C, split contract etc.
  • Experience managing Tier 1 Contractors who have built Renewable Energy projects will be preferred.
  • Successful track record in project delivery and managing various stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship with EPC’s and related contractors.
  • Strong relationship with NSP’s on different levels, design, and construction.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Project Manager will assist the Senior Project Manager to manage projects to construction completion in Australia and New Zealand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all projects are built safely and in accordance with LSBP and legislative HSE requirements of the relevant country
  • Manage all construction aspects of Renewable Energy projects from early works through to commissioning and completion.
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with the New Zealand and Australian teams and at global level to support business development.
  • Construction reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delivery of good practice PM systems and controls.
  • Provide input into LSbp Tendering & Contracts team to select the optimum EPC and Network Service Provider (NSP) contractors from RFP to contractual negotiations and final selection.
  • Facilitating strong interaction between both business development and assets management departments.
  • Prepare budget and time schedule for assigned projects, ensuring the project is built in accordance with the same.
  • Ensure assigned projects comply with the requirements of the applicable permits and contracts.
  • Managing project handover from construction to operations ensuring early involvement
