POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for supervising field crews in the repair, restoration, and construction of log homes. This position combines skilled craftsmanship with team leadership—ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and up to Weatherwize’s standards of excellence. You’ll serve as the key link between company leadership, clients, and crew members, managing projects from the field with accountability and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a crew of technicians and apprentices on log home restoration and construction projects.
  • Plan, delegate, and oversee daily work, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Perform and guide specialized tasks such as blasting, staining, sealing, rot repair, chinking, and log replacement.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely by enforcing company safety policies and conducting site checks.
  • Train and mentor crew members in technical skills, craftsmanship, and best practices.
  • Communicate project progress and needs with company leadership.
  • Represent Weatherwize on-site with professionalism and customer care.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles in safe and working order.
  • Troubleshoot challenges and adapt plans to changing site conditions.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or log home restoration (leadership experience preferred).
  • Strong ability to read plans, measure accurately, and problem-solve in the field.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on teamwork, motivation, and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight for multi-day projects.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
