KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plans, manages, executes, and controls all aspects of assigned projects involving larger scope, risk, impact, and sensitivity, in alignment with the divisional strategy and departmental objectives.
Leads the strategic planning of assigned capital projects, including defining the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management; creating business cases/justifications and work plans, determining the objectives and measurements, determining the budget, resources, and stakeholders; setting up the project schedule and reviewing plans.
Manages and monitors assigned projects through implementation, including executing the project according to the project plan; creating project management records and documentations; monitoring the project progress and financial status of the project. Anticipates and proactively manages change throughout the project life cycle.
Works with Procurement to facilitate Requests for Proposals (RFP), providing specific documents for projects, including scope of work, technical and project specific requirements, project schedules, and terms and conditions.
Presents and reports the project progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones, and key project metrics to the senior leadership team. Provides suggestions and recommendations to the senior leadership team on risk management and project delivery.
Manages cross functional project teams and stakeholders across the enterprise. Develops and maintains a respectful and productive relationship with all stakeholders. Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors to seamlessly execute projects.
Provides expert advice and recommendations on engineering project management standards, governance, and procedures to continuously improve the enterprise project management practices.
Manages reporting staff, including selection, training, coaching, development, performance evaluation and all other people management practices, ensuring department practices comply with human resources policies and framework. Manages external consultants and contractors, as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The competencies for this position would typically be acquired through completion of a university degree in Engineering and/or Business. A PMP certification is required. Requires seven (7) years of previous experience in engineering project management.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Project Manager, Low Carbon Fleet Programs advances sustainable and strategic studies and initiatives that support the long-term Zero Emission Playbook, including depot transitions, charging infrastructure, pilot projects, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. The Project Manager plans, manages, executes and controls one or multiple assigned infrastructure and engineering projects involving larger scope, risk, impact, and sensitivity. The position also ensures successful delivery according to Enterprise engineering project management standards, governance, and procedures.
