The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) is looking for a

WHO WE ARE …

The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) provides comprehensive support to Bavarian stakeholders from
science and industry in the acquisition of third-party funding for international research and innovation pro-
jects. In doing so, we pursue the overarching goal of strengthening Bavaria as a location for science and
innovation. As a publicly funded company of the Free State of Bavaria, our tasks include funding advice,
application support, project management, networking and representation of partners’ interests in Brussels.
The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel as part of the Bavarian Research Alliance promotes scien-
tific cooperation between Bavarian and Israeli academic institutes, non-university research institutions and
other R&I-driven stakeholders by providing networking platforms (e. g. delegation visits, match making
events and others), information services and support in applying for third-party funding (international/bi-
lateral). The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel works closely with the Bavarian Office in Tel Aviv
and other actors in the field of bilateral and international research cooperation between Bavaria, Israel and
the EU.

Within the framework of the bilateral cooperation between Bavaria and Israel, our tasks include networking
activities, advice and support for the development of international and/or bilateral R&I projects and funding
advice (e. g. Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, PRIMA and others). The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria Israel
regularly organises joint matchmaking workshops (online/onsite) and other events on different research
fields (e. g. healthtech, energy, argitech, foodtech) to promote cooperation opportunities between Bavar-
ian, Israeli and other European stakeholders. It also acts as an information service on new trends and de-
velopments in both the Bavarian and Israeli R&I ecosystem and on upcoming cooperation opportunities.
As part of the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel, you will support the development and organiza-
tion of new networking activities, strengthen our local network in Israel, promote funding opportunities
and support the conceptualization of project ideas, which are often interdisciplinary in nature. This includes
travel activities in Israel and to our office in Munich, if required.
