WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management or business administration.
  • PMP certification or the ability to achieve a PMP certification within 6 months of starting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on engineering, manufacturing and/or project management.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with technical knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing, BOM’s and scheduling.
  • Proficient use of MS Excel spreadsheets and data analysis.
  • Proficient in using production management software (Microsoft Project, Wrike) and analysis tools.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • ERP experience using Visual or Global Shop Solutions (GSS) would be a definite asset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Problem solving and root cause analysis techniques (5 why, 8D), lessons learned would be an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Skilled at teamwork and relationship management. Able to work collaboratively both within and outside one’s work group. Able to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret and understand common Operations articles such as overall project timelines, budgets, design and production schedules, inventory charts, etc. is required.
  • Ability to deal with and solve problems involving different variables in pressured situations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as profit, percentages, proportions, ratios, etc.
  • Previous experience working in an ISO environment.
  • Strong core values and integrity.
  • APICS – CPIM certification would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

Septimatech Group Inc. is looking for a talented and qualified Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for the project management for all assigned projects throughout the job lifecycle (from receipt of purchase order through to customer service, order management, engineering design, purchasing, manufacturing, shipping, and field service installation). They ensure all customer orders are executed within scope, deadlines are met, and expectations are consistently exceeded. This role requires effective time management, problem-solving abilities, the ability to influence, and proactive communication to achieve optimal project management and customer satisfaction. Through proactive communication with team members, the Project Manager will increase awareness of customer requirements inside the organization and ensure customers receive the appropriate internal expertise from start to finish that will safeguard repeat business & improve the customer’s experience. This position works closely with our customers to maintain and grow relationships by delivering consistent high standards utilizing our customer centric approach to deliver the job “right the first time”.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment with clear communication and coordination among cross functional team members.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining strong relationships, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to customers, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure effective coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, within scope and to quality standards.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalates issues, delays and/or critical information to management, as needed.
  • Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboard showing job status for each functional area, timing, top issues, budget, etc.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success. Report any high-level risks to Operations with recommendations for risk mitigation (including termination of the project, if appropriate).
  • Use lessons learned from past projects for continuous improvement on current projects. Work with cross functional team to capture new lessons learned in the searchable lessons learned database.
  • Work with Operations Leader, Customer Service Supervisor, Technical Project Manager, Total Quality Management Coordinator and other functional teams to identify recurring issues and participate in root cause analysis and documenting lessons learned.
