Description
Project management for electrical, plumbing or HVAC residential construction trades. General Description It is the responsibility of the Project Manager to organize, supervise and coordinate the project and the on- site staff (daily communication with subcontractors and vendors on each operating project is expected) in order to complete the work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship expected at the company. It is also his/her responsibility to document consistently and thoroughly the progress of the project on the company program/software. In the performance of this function, it is the Project Manager’s responsibility to protect and promote the company interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his/her duties and responsibilities. Complies with all required safety, building code, and department requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Works independently within established procedures and associated with the specific job function. May manage subordinate staff. FLSA Classification Non-exempt Type Full-Time 30-50 hours per week Monday-Friday Willing to work periodic on-call shifts after hours and weekends Reports To Department Manager Supervisory/Management Responsibilities Supervises subcontractors and laborers Manages subordinate staff Required Education/Experience 5 Years Experience in the construction industry 3 Years Experience in project management Preferred Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Required Bachelor’s Degree Preferred 3+ Years Experience in the construction industry 1-3 Years Experience in project management preferred
