Job Description
With a strong pipeline of work and a global reputation for excellence, we’re expanding our Project Management Team in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
We’re looking for experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Managers with strong Mechanical and/or Electrical skills and expertise to lead and deliver construction projects from conception through to completion. This includes roles on a number of major projects which will shortly be entering the construction phase.
You will work in a client-facing role where your ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and drive outcomes will be key to your success. You will support the continued growth of Turner & Townsend and making the difference to both our business and the New Zealand construction sector.

Your role will include:

  • Managing projects throughout the project lifecycle including planning, design, procurement, construction and close out.
  • Leading client engagement with professionalism, transparency, and care.
  • Preparing proposals and supporting business development efforts.
  • Driving service excellence through communication and reporting with accuracy and timeliness
  • Driving positive outcomes across a range of construction environments.

Qualifications
We’re looking for Project Managers who thrive in complex construction environments – professionals who don’t just deliver projects but shape them from the outset. You are someone who builds trust quickly and communicates with clarity. Your ability to turn opportunities into successful, well-run engagements is just as important as your technical expertise.

To be successful in your application, you’ll need to have the following:

  • Current, valid, working rights for Aotearoa New Zealand
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing and delivering medium to large-scale construction projects in Aotearoa New Zealand, ideally including complex mechanical and electrical scope.
  • Tertiary qualification in construction management, project management, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, or other similar fields.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and lifecycle stages.
  • Experience in design, management, or construction within the built environment.

Candidates with Project Management Consultancy experience and exposure to the following sectors will be particularly well regarded:

  • Data Centres
  • Health – Hospitals / Aged Care

  • Commercial & Industrial
