Description Project Manager – Mechanical/Millwright Job Description Summary: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mandatory overtime may be required to meet project deadlines) The Project Manager – Mechanical/Millwright oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and millwright projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and equipment installation, coupled with excellent leadership and client communication skills. Description: • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of assigned mechanical and millwright projects from start to finish. • Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring alignment with client goals and company standards. • Coordinate with engineering, estimating, and field teams to deliver safe, high-quality installations on time and within budget. • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, verifying quality and timely delivery. • Monitor project progress through regular site visits and meetings, resolving technical or logistical challenges as they arise. • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking. • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Work closely with safety personnel to uphold company and OSHA standards on all project sites. • Lead project closeout activities, including punch list completion, documentation, and turnover to the client. • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, field efficiency, and team performance. Requirements Additional Information: Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in mechanical construction, millwright, or industrial equipment installation. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, rigging, welding, precision alignment, and industrial system installations. Understanding of construction contracts, submittals, and change order processes. Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Excellent communication and organizational skills with a focus on collaboration and client satisfaction. Commitment to enforcing safety standards and promoting a culture of accountability. Ability to travel to project sites as required. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Recommended Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Industrial Technology Required Work Experience: Mechanical or Millwright Construction – 7 years Recommended Work Experience: Project Management – 3 to 5 years Required Certifications: OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Valid driver’s license Recommended Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Rigging & Signal Person Certification Millwright or Mechanical Journeyman License Project Management Professional (PMP)
