Menzies is looking for a Project Manager to oversee multiple synergistic research projects focused on improving care for chronic conditions in remote communities.

The Role:
The successful candidate for this role will work closely with study investigators and health service partners to ensure the successful undertaking and coordination of research and translation projects focused on health systems improvements. Current projects include a focus on care for diabetes in pregnancy, strengthening the remote health workforce, and improving integrated health care delivery for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and kidney disease.
The position will oversee preparation of applications and reports to ethics committees, health service partners, research governance offices and funding bodies; prepare and manage budgets; support recruitment and supervision of other team members; coordinate implementation and evaluation activities; and play a pivotal role in internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
About you:
We would like you to bring your strong project management skills, your ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and your sound communication skills to this role.

You also have:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Experience in the research and/or health care sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-level reports.
  • Demonstrated financial management experience, including a sound knowledge of budgetary processes, invoicing, payments, and acquittals.

The Benefits:

  • Base Salary $114,014 - $124,170 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $140,169 - $151,747 per annum).
  • Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
  • Option to increase Super to 14%.
