Description
We are seeking Dowds are seeking a Project Manager to join our delivery team, where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day project operational activities ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. What you’ll be responsible for Take responsibility for the successful planning and delivery of assigned projects, including programme, resourcing, technical quality, cost control, customer liaison, and adherence to company and statutory requirements. Manage projects in full compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, customer requirements, and Dowds Group policies and procedures. Control project financial performance by supporting cost tracking, forecasting, risk management, variations, and reporting in conjunction with the Project Director and QS. Lead, manage, and develop project teams, providing effective line management to direct reports and coordinate with internal departments on performance, training, and resourcing. Deliver projects in accordance with the Dowds Project Charter, Project Management Plans (PMPs), and contract execution requirements, ensuring all company processes are fully implemented. Manage subcontractors and supply chain performance, monitor KPIs, progress change control opportunities, and ensure timely close‑out of defects, liabilities, and project accounts. What we are looking for Essential Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and/or Plumbing) works on construction or building services projects, from pre‑construction through to commissioning and handover. Strong understanding of MEP installation, sequencing, coordination, and integration within multi‑disciplinary construction environments. Demonstrable experience managing project programmes, costs, forecasting and risk, working closely with commercial and QS teams. Thorough knowledge of UK statutory regulations, industry standards and health & safety requirements relating to building services delivery. Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain performance, including progress monitoring, quality control, and KPI reporting. Desirable Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related discipline. Professional membership (or working towards) CIBSE, IET, CIOB or equivalent. Experience delivering projects under formal project charters, PMPs or contract execution plans.
