Description
About the Role We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to join PARA Consulting’s Delivery & Implementation team. You will manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring smooth execution from kickoff to go-live. This role requires excellence in documentation, structured thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable project plans and deliverables. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment working closely with cross-functional teams and clients. A Day in the Life You log in and begin your day by reviewing dashboards across multiple active client projects, identifying priorities, deadlines, and potential risks. Your morning starts with a client status meeting where you present progress, align on blockers, and guide stakeholders through decisions that impact the critical path. After the call, you lead a requirements session, documenting business processes through detailed flowcharts, user stories, and functional specifications that set the foundation for the technical team’s configuration work. Midday, you facilitate a cross-functional workshop to map an end-to-end workflow, carefully documenting integrations, dependencies, and data flows in clear, structured artifacts. You update the project wiki with outcomes, refine the RACI matrix, and outline mitigation strategies for upcoming milestones. Between meetings, you review SOPs, refine playbooks, and tighten documentation to ensure clarity and consistency for the delivery team. In the afternoon, you coach a junior team member on project documentation standards while juggling updates across multiple client timelines. You conduct a gap analysis, log change requests with full impact assessments, and adjust the master project plan accordingly. Before wrapping up, you review and approve test plans and validation scripts to ensure they align with requirements and acceptance criteria. As a PARA PM, you understand that precise documentation, structured communication, and strong governance keep complex implementations on track. Whether you’re building project charters, maintaining risk logs, updating status reports, or preparing milestone readouts, your leadership ensures successful delivery and clear knowledge transfer. You end your day knowing you moved multiple initiatives forward smoothly and strategically. What You’ll Do Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple concurrent client projects from initiation through go-live. Develop comprehensive project documentation: project charters, plans, timelines, status reports, decision logs, and risk registers. Conduct business analysis and document current-state and future-state processes. Create and maintain functional requirements, user stories, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria. Facilitate steering committees, stakeholder workshops, and decision-making sessions. Maintain project wikis, SOPs, internal process documentation, and knowledge bases. Manage timelines, budgets, scope, resources, and deliverables across multiple clients. Coordinate with consultants, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment. Establish and uphold quality assurance processes for documentation and deliverables. Build test plans, review test scripts, and coordinate UAT activities. Mentor junior analysts and support their documentation and delivery skills. Minimum Qualifications (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, HR, Operations, or a related field. 4–7 years of experience in project management, program management, or business analysis. Demonstrated excellence in documentation: process flows, requirements, project plans, SOPs, functional specs. Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in fast-paced environments. Strong business analysis skills: gap analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership. Experience with PM tools such as Asana, ClickUp, Monday, MS Project. Proficiency with documentation tools like Confluence, SharePoint, Miro, Visio. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority. Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment. Preferred Qualifications (Not required, but will set you apart.) Experience implementing or working with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HCM). Professional certifications (PMP, CAPM, CBAP, Agile/Scrum). Consulting or professional services experience. Understanding of financial, HR, or operational business processes. Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks. High ownership mindset and ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments.
