Due to continued growth in 2026, we are hiring an additional Municipal Project Manager based at either our South Hackensack Headquarters or our Chester, NJ office. This exciting new role reporting directly to Boswell’s Vice President of Municipal Engineering, will be involved in day-to-day operations leading and managing all levels of engineers while also managing projects. Project Manager - Licensed PE - Boswell Municipal Engineering Team Responsibilities include: Attend Municipal Governing Body meetings as required Be strongly familiar with the Municipal Code of various municipalities for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating Municipal Development Applications Prepare reports for Municipal Land Use Boards and attend Land Use Board meetings Be highly proficient in local, county, and state stormwater management and soil erosion control standards Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to perform necessary reviews Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issues Review project shop drawings Attend project meetings with clients Prepare monthly status reports on projects within the municipalities Be instrumental in the preparation of project proposals, establish project budgets and construction cost estimates, and prepare day-to-day paperwork necessary to see projects through from beginning to end Ensure the completion of assignments on schedule and within the project budget Perform marketing duties related to maintaining existing clients as well as obtaining new working clients Ensure timely billing of projects and assist with the collection of outstanding invoices Limited travel is expected for this position to the municipalities and project job sites Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures Requirements: 6+ years of professional work experience as a Municipal Engineer and Project Manager Current licensed PE Certification in New Jersey is required. Proven track-record of developing, mentoring and leading professional engineers Strong proficiency in local, county and state regulations governing municipal work as well as zoning and planning board processes, permitting and approvals Preferred Qualifications which are not required and we will assist in obtaining: Expert witness testimony CME (Certified Municipal Engineer) Certification We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
