Description Position Title: Project Manager Department: Technology Department Classification: Full-time, Exempt Position Reports to: Director of Technology Location: Carlsbad, CA – hybrid schedule, Tue & Thu in office Salary Range: $70,304 - $75,000 Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. POSITION PURPOSE The Project Manager is responsible for managing complex Web application and integration roadmaps by translating organizational needs into actionable project plans, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and driving implementations that strengthen the systems NAMM relies on to serve its members and staff. KEY DUTIES Manage the full project lifecycle for technology and systems initiatives from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch review Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and third-party technology vendors or developers Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and proactively resolve blockers Gather requirements from stakeholders in other departments to evaluate, implement, and optimize platforms and systems (e.g., AMS, CRM, event tech, member portals) Document processes, system configurations, and project outcomes to support knowledge management Support change management efforts by communicating system and timeline updates to project stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve workflows and increase operational efficiency through technology Ensure adherence to project management best practices and NAMM's internal standards Requirements KEY REQUIREMENTS 3–5 years of project management experience, with a focus on technology or systems implementations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Figma, or similar) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PMP or equivalent certification a plus Experience in a nonprofit, trade association, or membership-based organization Familiarity with CRM platforms Exposure to event technology or conference management systems Passion for music, music-making, and NAMM’s mission NAMM Values commitment At NAMM we strive to do the right thing with respect, passion, humor, teamwork and accountability.
