Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE: NBCUniversal’s Media Operations is responsible for managing the content supply chain of the company and key functions such as content ingest, QC, preparation, and fulfillment to meet the needs of our customers worldwide. Global Media Operations is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a SWED (Staff with End Date) role to lead a 1 year project for the migration of on premise ingest and fulfillment workflow to cloud based tooling & infrastructure. The Technical Project Manger will be responsible for defining the technical specifications and requirements for this migration, along with developing a strategic implementation plan for the project. They will be required to aggregate technical order data to conduct an extensive profile analysis, identifying & subsequently prioritizing the features needed across 2000+ unique profiles that are in our system today. This detail will be passed off directly to the Engineering teams to guide them in their development planning. From there, they will be expected establish & run a number of meeting cadences to keep operations, product, and engineering teams aligned on the release of the required functionality to gradually move these workflows into the cloud. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will partner with operations to create UAT plans and will help oversee the documentation & progress of that UAT to ensure the technical deliverables meet performance expectation. The Technical Project Manager will be expected to use project management best practices such as task lists, issues lists, and project timelines. The Project Manager will host meetings, document workflows, develop test matrices, and oversee UAT. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for all project updates and communication to stakeholders and senior leadership. A successful Technical Project Manager will be detail oriented, an excellent communicator, accountable, manage all critical project details, and display high levels of ownership throughout. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of work experience in broadcast or a media-related field. 3+ years of experience managing projects in a broadcast or media-related field. Proven track record of effectively managing tasks and tracking issues in a technical operation. Experience leading technical project meetings and delivering executive-level presentations. Experience with executive-level ‘story’ telling for large scale project/programs Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must be proficient in Smartsheet, Jira, LucidChart, Airtable or similar tooling. Experience with Smartsheet/Airtable automation, project data visualization or dashboarding. Strong presentation and communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: College degree from a 4-year college or university. 3+ years of formal project management experience, preferably in broadcast or a media-related field. Experience with overseeing automation initiatives, file-based workflows & cloud-based technologies. Ability to work off hours or on a flexible schedule as needed to best support the project.
