Project Manager, Network
We are seeking a Project Manager, Network (IC2-G4) located in Montreal, Quebec. Reporting to the Sr. Technical Program Manager of Network Deployment the Project Manager will execute multiple customer and internal projects by planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects. And this, while maintaining accurate timelines within budget.
The Project Manager will remain aware of the progress of each project and ensure all tasks are finished, to service the business and the customers until successful completion.
Experience in previous program management roles involving Network Deployment, Data Center Deployment, Network infrastructure, Network engineering or I.T. is required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Effective written and verbal communications in English

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of IP networking, data centers, and cloud technologies are desired.
  • Microsoft Project, Service Now PPM or other Project Management software experience desired

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Degree level qualification in Engineering, IT and/or Business Management or equivalent is desirable.
  • Come into the office 3x out of the week
  • Individuals must also have a proven record of working in a team environment and have demonstrated the ability to work in a collaborative manner between groups on an international basis as well as showing strong individual initiative.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • 3+ years’ experience in an enterprise organisation with established PMO processes
  • Developed project / program management and planning skills and experience.
  • Ability to manage different projects / priorities and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure.
  • Strong experience delivering customer focused projects in Data Centre and Managed Services environments.
  • Recognised formal professional project management qualification (PMP / APMP / Prince2 / P3O or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills & keen attention to detail.
  • Fluency in both verbal & written English is paramount
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing of day-to-day activities within project team
  • Fostering a culture that is focused on meeting customer and business needs.
  • Encouraging and value input, knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities across project teams.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating internal projects and the implementation of new services for customers managing all major project aspects (initiation, scope, schedule, finances, resourcing, communication, reporting, quality, change, risk & issues)
  • Coordinating planning activities across the projects and agree plans with stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting project progress and performance, identifying issues and escalating, recommending changes when necessary.
  • Running or attending (as appropriate) Project Boards or Project Working Groups
  • Producing agreed levels of project reporting.
  • Identification, assessment and management of project risks and issues
  • Contributing and adhering to delivery methodology for both internal and external projects (including delivery of services) and tailoring where appropriate to meet the needs of a specific project.
  • Contributing to implementation and ongoing management of Project Management tooling for delivery and reporting purposes.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures and always provide clear and concise information.
  • Ad hoc duties as may reasonably be required, and any other tasks as directed by Management in line with business needs.
  • Complying with all company and legal obligations in respect of health and safety requirements and any other relevant industry standards when on company premises.
  • Being willing to undertake any training and development that the company deems to be relevant to ensure that the duties of the role can be performed in line with their employment contract and role profile.
