QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–10 years’ end-to-end project management in industrial, mechanical, or energy sectors (boiler/HVAC/mechanical services preferred)
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
  • White Card & Construction Induction; Current QLD Driver’s Licence

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of industrial mechanical systems
  • Commercial and contractual acumen (variations, POs, scopes)
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, SharePoint (or similar)
  • Willing to travel across QLD and interstate
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for end-to-end management of industrial boiler and energy system projects. This includes coverage from post-sale handover, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery, as well as coordination with technical, procurement, site execution, and commissioning teams.
The PM acts as the central point of contact for project stakeholders and is accountable for successful delivery, risk mitigation, cost control, and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Delivery: Manage full project lifecycle from kick-off to close-out, including design coordination, procurement, delivery, commissioning, and reporting. Develop schedules and budgets, coordinate internal teams, and lead project meetings
  • Cost & Commercials: Monitor budgets, margins, and cashflows; manage variations; and support invoicing and milestone claims
  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as primary client contact, foster strong relationships, and communicate progress, risks, and changes effectively
  • Quality, Safety & Documentation: Ensure WHS compliance, oversee QA/QC and commissioning, and maintain accurate project documentation
