Ocean Infinity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead critical projects within our complex, large-scale Transformation Programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering projects to time, budget, and scope, with a keen understanding of managing dependencies within a broader programme context. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, distributed teams and stakeholders.
What you will do:

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Plan, execute, and close projects within assigned programmes, adhering to established methodologies and Transformation Office governance frameworks;
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, dependencies, resource allocation, and realistic timelines;
  • Define and manage project budgets, track expenditure, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints;
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as needed;
  • Champion the adoption of technology and AI to aid delivery, introducing efficiencies and use to add control to day-to-day delivery.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and external partners;
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to the Programme Manager and relevant stakeholders;
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive project progress and resolve issues.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project-level risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies;
  • Escalate critical issues to the Programme Manager in a timely manner, providing clear recommendations for resolution alongside other options considered.

Quality & Change Management:

  • Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and stakeholder expectations;
  • Manage project change requests, assessing their impact on scope, schedule, and budget, and securing necessary approvals.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, providing accurate and timely updates on progress, budget, and risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and decision logs.
  • Ensure project closure activities are completed efficiently, including lessons learned and handover of deliverables.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager of projects within complex, large-scale Programmes of work;
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a programme framework;
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and tools;
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources effectively;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various teams;
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Experience in the marine, engineering, technology, or other similarly complex industries is highly desirable;
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AgilePM, PRINCE2, CSM) are highly advantageous;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Project Management) or equivalent practical experience.

Salary for this position: Up to £65,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
