JOB DESCRIPTION:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the timely execution of the OCS scope, ensuring that the work is completed within budget and is fully compliant with Contract, Quality and Safety requirements. The role manages all OCS-related activities for the project and their interfaces through the project steps from design to handover. This includes coordination of design with the construction requirements, procurement of the package, and construction work for the discipline, as well as follow-up of post construction activities until handover of the work package(s) related to the discipline.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, with a preference for electrical, civil or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience with evidence of leadership on at least 2 large projects for OCS work design and construction.
- Technical and operational knowledge of OCS systems.
- Experience in organizing site construction forces involving LRT or Tramway OCS.
- Experienced in the specification of OCS components and interface with suppliers.
- Project management experience including development of construction plans, schedules and
- interface on a large multidiscipline team.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred.
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions.
