QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Passive Fire Protection (PFP), high-volume fire safety remediation, or large-scale capital works projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, risk management, and fire safety compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Experience with QA software (Bolster, FieldView, or similar) for tracking PFP works and certification.
  • Working knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022, ASFP Guidance, and FIRAS accreditation requirements.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS, or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Supervision are highly desirable or equivalent
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing high-intensity Passive Fire Protection (PFP) projects in live hospitals environments, ensuring strict adherence to safety, compliance, and programme requirements.
The Project Manager will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
The role requires a strong understanding of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations, health, and safety legislation, and PFP industry standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated fire safety regulations.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND CDM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure strict compliance with CDM Regulations, including client Principal Designer and Principal Contractor obligations.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to company and legislative health and safety policies.
  • Support the development and enforcement of fire safety strategies, permits to work, and hazard control measures.
