JOB INTRODUCTION

The Project Manager HR Payroll is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and execution of SAP HR Payroll projects at Magna Europe. This role requires a strong analytical skillset to be able to work on business requirements together with our cross-functional business. For this position, we are looking for someone who has already gained some experience in project management in the field of HR, ideally in the SAP Payroll area.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent MS Office knowledge.
  • MS Project or Asana experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of attendance and payroll accounting.
  • Knowledge of SAP HR.
  • Exceptional German communication skills, solid English communications skills are an asset.
  • Strong organizational & planning skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a team.
  • “Hands-on” mentality.
  • Functional understanding of HR processes.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skill.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to support presentations to senior management and other senior stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION

  • Completion of a degree in Computer Science – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Project management professional (PMP) designation, CAPM, or equivalent certification is an asset.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ progressive experience planning and implementing projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices involved in project management and organizational change management.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirement analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, methodology development and application evaluation.
  • Project management and supervisory principles and practices to supervise project staff and coordinate multiple complex projects under pressure to meet schedule and budget commitments.
  • Payroll project experience or project experience in the area of HR is preferred.
Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and implementation of HR Payroll projects.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and timelines to meet goals and deliverables.
  • Develop full scale project plans.
  • Track project tasks and resources using appropriate tools.
  • Support development of statement of requirements together with functional teams.
  • Regularly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Work closely together with business departments, as well as Magna IT departments and Vendors.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Implement and manage project changes to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.
