Total Rewards within People and Culture is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Position Title.
The University of Calgary is seeking an innovative and results-driven Project Manager to join our People and Culture team. This newly created role will establish robust human resource analytics and business intelligence deliveries, enabling data-driven decision-making across the university.
Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Project Manager will design, develop, implement, and evaluate data solutions that deliver actionable insights, support agile decision-making, and enable proactive workforce planning. As a strategic advisor, this role will work closely with stakeholders to define data needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and create impactful dashboards, reports, and presentations for executive, board, and operational audiences.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Data Science, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications an asset).
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in data analytics, preferably in HR, workforce planning, or organizational effectiveness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of HR data structures, metrics, and systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, SuccessFactors).
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and scale business intelligence tools and dashboards.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading analytics projects in an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to apply an EDI lens to data analysis and recommendations.
