Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Columbia, TN
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000+ with bonus opportunity

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Project Manager at Preventia Security, you will be the vital link between clients, our sales team, and operational teams. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of low-voltage solutions such as security, access, fire, and camera installation projects—from initial planning to final closeout—ensuring everything runs on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a technical, security, or construction-related field.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
  • Proficiency with project management, billing, and design software, and willingness to learn more.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and completely.
  • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines while maintaining focus and organization.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, preventative approach.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for out-of-town projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial security systems (e.g., CCTV, security, access control, fire alarms) is a significant plus, but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, sales, operations, and technical teams.
  • Coordinate scheduling of technicians with Operations and Regional Managers.
  • Review and interpret plans, drawings, scopes, and schedules regularly.
  • Manage all project documentation: contracts, deliverables, and files.
  • Plan project scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with sales, contractors, and technical staff to gather project documents and materials.
  • Use industry-standard software including project management tools, billing systems, and design programs (e.g., CAD).
  • Allocate resources, assign tasks, and set up workflows and communication channels.
  • Motivate and lead project teams, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts.
  • Identify and address on-site challenges such as resource shortages or technical issues.
  • Track project performance, manage risks, and proactively address potential delays.
  • Adjust schedules, resources, and budgets to keep projects on track.
  • Organize the procurement and delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate lodging and logistics for out-of-town project teams.
  • Ensure regulatory and safety compliance on all job sites.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously with strong multitasking and follow-through skills.
  • Provide excellent client communication and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Handle progress billing and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Lead the project close-out process, finalizing documentation and deliverables.
  • Vet and manage subcontractors, especially for out-of-town projects.
