ABOUT US:

Delta Coast Consultants, LLC is a trusted leader in civil engineering and flood protection consulting. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the implementation of a multi-billion-dollar flood protection program. This position plays a key role in public infrastructure development and environmental resiliency.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, you will collaborate directly with clients and governmental partners to oversee large-scale flood protection initiatives—ranging from levees to flood gates and environmental structures. You’ll serve as the client’s representative throughout project planning, permitting, design review, and construction oversight phases. Pay Subject to Experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing public civil works projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent experience in program/project management.
  • Proven track record of client and consultant management in the public sector.
  • Experience handling multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Strong project management capabilities including proposal development, budget oversight, and milestone tracking.
  • Technical knowledge of flood protection systems and infrastructure design.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with clients and federal/state partners to develop and implement flood protection projects.
  • Represent the client in meetings, conference calls, and site visits with regulatory agencies and funding partners.
  • Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and strategic priorities.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control by reviewing engineering documents and ensuring contractors follow approved quality control plans.
  • Secure necessary permits from state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple consultants across concurrent public works projects.
  • Review proposals, scopes of work, technical reports, and construction plans, providing recommendations and technical feedback.
