Project Manager (Property Transformations) Location: Cape Town. Type: Full-time, permanent hybrid role. Salary offered: Market related and dependent on experience. Job Overview Our client is a high-growth international PropTech and property platform ready to recruit a Project Manager to lead the delivery of residential transformation projects across the UK. This is a critical, high-ownership role within a scaling transformation function. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of multiple renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality, market-ready standard. Projects typically involve fast-turnaround residential renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, redecoration, flooring, layout changes, and furniture installations. You will act as the operational control centre for live projects, translating design intent into executed builds by coordinating contractors, materials, budgets, and timelines across a growing property portfolio. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Programme Ownership Own end-to-end delivery of property transformation projects from design handover to final completion Interpret design briefs and scopes, clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguity early Build and manage detailed project timelines, milestones, and dependencies Maintain visibility across the full transformation programme, including contractor capacity and pipeline risks Manage the overall transformation calendar to ensure properties are market-ready on schedule Contractor & Site Management Select and allocate contractors based on skill set, availability, and performance history Build strong working relationships with contractors and suppliers Coordinate and track daily on-site progress remotely Conduct quality assurance through milestone-based checks and remote inspections Proactively identify capacity constraints and recommend onboarding new contractors Materials, Budget & Financial Coordination Coordinate material ordering in line with design specifications and timelines Work closely with finance to ensure budget availability and cash flow Track contractor progress and manage staged payments Process and manage mid-project variations, assessing time, cost, and scope impact Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the primary point of contact for vendors throughout projects Provide regular project updates with progress reporting and site imagery Collaborate with designers, inventory teams, client success, and operations hubs Ensure property access, compliance documentation, internet installation, and final handovers are completed Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Manage multiple projects using structured project management systems Maintain live dashboards tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend scalable process improvements Support ongoing optimisation of tools and workflows RequirementsExperience & Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in project management, ideally within residential renovations or construction Hands-on exposure to renovation or build projects Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification Strong understanding of UK renovation workflows, contractors, and compliance requirements High proficiency with project management systems (monday.com or similar preferred) Skills & Attributes Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and quality control Confident decision-maker with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Comfortable managing multiple projects in parallel Highly tech-savvy with a mindset for scalable solutions Strong communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders remotely Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Fluent in English (written and spoken) Why Join?
