We are seeking a Project Manager to join the R&D team who will be responsible for overseeing projects in the business area of rail solutions, ensuring they align with business goals, and driving overall success. Their role is tactical and strategic and focuses on coordination, execution, and delivery. Your Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Define program objectives, scope, and success criteria with stakeholders Align projects with business strategy and manage them from idea to product release Develop roadmaps and long-term plans for multiple projects Evaluate customer requirements and create technical concepts and project plans Project Management Oversee project execution regarding scope, time, and budget Monitor timelines, deliverables, and coordinate technical support during all phases Ensure compliance with internal processes and external standards Stakeholder & Team CoordinationCommunicate goals, status, risks, and progress to stakeholders Act as primary contact and facilitate collaboration across departments and external partners Coordinate closely with Procurement, Quality, and Production (incl. PPAP delivery) Financial & Resource Control Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation Ensure cost efficiency and financial sustainability Risk & Issue Management Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when needed Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and best practices Performance Monitoring Define KPIs and track project performance Use data-driven insights for decision-making and report progress to senior management Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related field Proven experience in complex product development, ideally in energy storage or battery systems Strong understanding of system architecture and product lifecycle in a technical environment Experience with industrial standards and regulations (e.g. UN 38.3, IEC61508, EN ISO 13849, EN 1175 is a plus) Ability to think analytically and work systematically across domains Hands-on mentality with a structured and goal-oriented working style Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken A team player with a high sense of ownership and responsibility A motivated company with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes.
