Project Manager/Release Lead:
On behalf of our Retail client, Procom is searching for a Release Lead for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Project Manager/Release Lead - Job Description:
The Release Lead will orchestrate one of the multiple releases within a large Business Transformation Program. This role involves ensuring strict adherence to scope and timelines while managing multiple workstreams to meet release objectives.

Project Manager/Release Lead - Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a structured Microsoft Project plan coordinating multiple workstreams.
• Enforce scope control to prevent scope creep and safeguard budget integrity.
• Develop and oversee deployment and cutover strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with transformation objectives.
• Rigorously track Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID).
• Deliver regular updates to Program Leadership and Senior Executives.
• Drive organizational change and ensure stakeholder readiness.
• Ensure releases meet business transformation goals and industry standards.
• Resolve challenges with strategic problem-solving and decisive action.
• Manage projects using a hybrid approach blending Waterfall and Agile practices.

Project Manager/Release Lead - Mandatory Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in project/program management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Proven ability to lead teams of 100+ individuals.
• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
• RAID management expertise.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience delivering high-impact releases with aggressive timelines.

Project Manager/Release Lead – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience managing retail ERP greenfield implementations.
• Familiarity with enterprise retail systems such as SAP, Manhattan, BY Product Suite.
• Knowledge of organization change management.
• Experience with technology-driven retail innovation.
• Project management and release certifications (PMP or PRINCE2).

This is a 12-month contract position.
