Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Project Manager’s essential functions are as follows:
1. Attend at all assigned property loss and prospective job situations to provide site inspections and record required emergency and repair work details;
2. Complete thorough & accurate inspection reports and preliminary costing for our clients;
3. Estimate all projects accurately & efficiently using Xactimate;
4. Create a critical path/schedule of work for each project at the outset of the work;
5. Ensure all crew & worksites are safety compliant in accordance with the Ministry of Labor, IICRC guidelines, WSIB etc;
6. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to establish clear expectations of all phases of work to be completed;
7. Manage and maintain sub trade contractor control with your site co-ordinator over the duration of each project ensuring timelines are met and issues are dealt with immediately;
8. Meet or exceed gross profit margin goals on each job;
9. Submit tenders on potential job opportunities;
10. Keep up-to-date file notes on all open/ongoing files;
11. Work with internal staff and subtrades in a professional manner;
12. Manage existing client relationships and cultivate new relationships with industry partners;
13. Participate in Marketing events such as Trade Shows, Golf Tournaments, etc;
14. Work independently with little or no direct supervision once an understanding of daily work activity is agreed;
15. Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
· 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Friday’s.
· Availability to respond to 24-hour emergency situations during rotating on-call status
· On-site locations and office when required
· Sustained periods of standing & sitting
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is incredibly organized, punctual, with remarkable problem-solving capabilities. Has strong communication skills and is able to work independently or as a team.
Minimum of 3 years restoration & construction experience. Xactimate & DASH/Xcelerate experience considered an asset. IICRC Certification considered an asset.
Completion of Construction/Engineering Technology Program Diploma or Certificate
Valid Drivers License
Ability to pass a background check
Remuneration : Compensation is comprised of base salary & commission structure and bonuses. Benefits provided upon completion of probationary period.
