FREELANCE PROJECT MANAGER – WEB & RFID SOLUTIONS

The Cervantes Group is seeking a highly motivated Freelance Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital web applications and RFID integration projects for a global client in the industrial sector. This is a remote opportunity with potential travel to Troy, Michigan, and requires strong technical delivery leadership and end-to-end project ownership within Agile environments.
You will play a key role in coordinating development teams, aligning with stakeholders, managing release schedules, and ensuring timely deployment of .NET-based web solutions with RFID capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years managing digital/web-based project delivery in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven experience owning and coordinating .NET-based or Microsoft tech stack projects
- Release management experience: from sprint planning through deployment
- Understanding of RFID technology or experience in digital supply chain/logistics is a big plus
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience working with globally distributed or hybrid teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other Agile certifications
- Background in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing sectors
- Hands-on familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
- Experience working with clients or stakeholders in the Midwest (esp. Michigan)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Solutions Architects to design and deliver the updates and enhancements to web applications and RFID solutions.
- Lead the full project lifecycle for .NET digital solutions and RFID technology integration
- Partner with business leadership team, local Technology teams, corporate development teams and vendors (for product integrations) to drive delivery and navigate risks and issues.
- Prepare and implement project plans to manage the lifecycle and operational aspects of projects (i.e., resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions and dependencies).
- Manage work streams, prepare status reports and interfaces with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution are aligned with defined objectives while coordinating activities of project personnel with relevant stakeholders to ensure progress within time and budget constraints.
