Role Overview The Project Manager leads end-to-end delivery of complex IT and banking transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role ensures predictable delivery in highly regulated environments by proactively identifying, analyzing, mitigating, and monitoring project and operational risks throughout the lifecycle. Drive delivery of application development, upgrades, infrastructure, storage, and data centre migration initiatives in regulated banking environments. Ensure alignment with PMO governance, compliance standards, and internal risk frameworks. Risk Management & Compliance Lead project risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and continuous monitoring. Perform Risk / RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) analysis across all project phases. Maintain and govern a Risk Registry, ensuring clear ownership, impact assessment, mitigation plans, and escalation paths. Proactively implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize delivery, operational, and compliance risks. Ensure adherence to operational risk, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements, especially within banking and Japanese enterprise environments. Conduct periodic risk reviews with stakeholders and integrate risk insights into executive reporting and decision-making. Agile & Process Excellence Embed risk-aware Agile delivery practices, including sprint risk reviews and dependency tracking. Improve delivery predictability and operational efficiency by optimizing processes and eliminating risk bottlenecks. Manage change requests through structured impact and risk analysis. Stakeholder & Client Management Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure risk transparency, compliance alignment, and informed decision-making. Communicate risks, mitigation plans, and trade-offs clearly to regional and global leadership. Manage client expectations by balancing delivery speed with risk control and governance requirements. Team Leadership & Quality Assurance Foster a strong risk-aware culture across cross-functional and multi-national teams. Ensure early QA involvement, structured UAT, and defect prevention strategies to reduce post-deployment risks. Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, root cause analysis, and preventive controls.
