Scribendi is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take full ownership of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects – including software development projects – ensuring they stay on track, on time, and on track with business goals. You’ll play a critical role in keeping teams aligned, tracking progress, and ensuring accountability across departments.

REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Degree in business management, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience delivering technical and non-technical cross-functional projects from initiation to closure
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and calm in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Proactive, detail-oriented planning and risk mitigation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrate resourcefulness, and take initiative without constant oversight
  • Experience managing asynchronous communication and globally distributed teams across time zones
  • Familiar with go-to-market (GTM) strategies and cross-functional readiness
  • Proficient in project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
  • Native-level English proficiency
  • Located and authorized to work in Canada

Preferred

  • PMP certification
  • Deep understanding of SDLC
  • Master’s degree in project management
  • Knowledge of AI and/or the editing industry
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and/or Chinese
Responsibilities
  • Foster alignment and commitment to project goals across cross-departmental teams
  • Serve as the point of contact for projects, providing clarity in ambiguous situations and setting clear expectations for team contributions
  • Maintain team accountability by tracking milestones and following up on commitments
  • Coordinate readiness across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Customer Support, and Sales to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market and operational initiatives
  • Facilitate effective communication across globally distributed teams in Canada, Japan, and China
  • Provide weekly project status updates to stakeholders with clear progress, risks, and upcoming deliverables
  • Develop clear and thoroughly thought-out project plans that mitigate as many risks as possible, keeping in mind immediate needs and bigger-picture items
  • Proactively adjust project timelines and scopes to reflect shifting priorities while still meeting critical business objectives
  • Integrate new initiatives, processes, or tools across departments to support current and future project success
