JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction planning through completion. This role includes overseeing project schedules, budgets, manpower, subcontractors, and on-site safety. The Project Manager works closely with site superintendents, design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams, including consultants, subcontractors, and internal staff.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g. Procore, MS Project).
  • Budget Management: Expertise in cost control, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and contract documentation.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, consultants, and team members.
  • Problem-solving: Effective decision-making skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and technical challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on quality control and project documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience in commercial or residential construction.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and construction-specific tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
