Overview Shimmick is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to support our Napa Creek Flood Protection Project in Napa, CA. Northwest Division Shimmick’s Northwest Division, headquartered in Suisun City, California, focuses on large public owners in Northern California, across water resources, water treatment, transportation, and transit markets. In addition, this division was awarded the APWA 2019 Public Works Project Award in the environment category for the Alameda Creek Fish Passage project in California. Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Managing project implementation including schedule, budgets, quality and safety.Resource planning and management - including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third party vendors, designers, fabricators and contractors. Direct the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule. Continue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area. Preparing and issuing Progress Reports and ensuring timely payments. Monitoring compliance with various regulatory statues as well as compliance with applicable Shimmick policies and procedures. Project stakeholder management and interface. Creation and implementation of Project Updates – Job Status Reports and Quarterly EAC Reports. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field + 2 years of relevant project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Strong understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation. Preferred Qualifications: Heavy civil construction project experience in Northern California. Experience with self-perform civil construction projects. Additional Information: This position is based in Northern California. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $140,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
